Elegante

The Koumridis Elegante Double Top was carefully designed for players who struggle with the dimensions of a standard concert guitar, especially guitarists with smaller hands, shorter reach, or a lighter physical build, but who do not want to sacrifice the power, projection, and tonal richness of a full concert instrument.

Developed in close collaboration with Professor Gabriel Bianco, after extensive research and experimentation, the Elegante was created to offer the complete double top experience in a more comfortable and accessible format.

With its reduced body size and 63 cm scale length, the instrument feels remarkably effortless in the hands, allowing the player to perform with greater freedom and less physical tension. At the same time, the guitar preserves the concert character, dynamic range, and sound projection expected from a professional double top guitar, with virtually no compromise in volume or tonal quality.

The top is built with a Nomex core sandwiched between two layers of cedar, while the laminated sides help retain and focus the energy produced by the highly responsive soundboard. The result is an instrument with exceptional clarity, warm and lyrical trebles, deep basses, and an impressive capacity for projection even with normal tension strings.

The cocobolo back and sides add warmth, richness, and depth to the sound, creating an instrument that feels both intimate and powerful at the same time.
